Note from
GuitarAttack: A GLUED-IN NECK! YES! What a nice
guitar. From Chandler Pereira
First off I filled the headstock tuner holes with wooden dowels and sanded them down until smooth, I then downloaded a PRS headstock template and traced it and cut the headstock to size. I set the neck and filled the holes to fasten the neck with wooden dowels and let it dry for 24hrs. I also put the bird inlays (stickers), shaved the volume , tone and pickup selector so they lay deeper in the body (real Pain In the BUTT) then I sanded the whole guitar with 320 grit paper and had a friend that owns an automotive shop clear the whole guitar (came out GREAT). I then wet sanded the whole guitar with 1500 and then 2000 grit sand paper, after I buffed the guitar with a buffer and finished off with glaze. I really like the direct mount pickup look so I decided to mount the EMG pickups that way, I also upgraded the bridge and saddle to tone pros and upgraded the tuners to Grovers.
All in all this guitar rocks, its my favorite guitar and who ever
says you can build a GREAT guitar from a SAGA kit, has no imagination, this
guitar sounds and plays like a really expensive guitar |
