REFINISHED!
Page 2

Bottom Line:  The Lawrence-McFadden's nitro lacquer buffed out beautifully, and we are incredibly happy with the way the GS looks wearing its new nitro finish.  Not much to say about these photos -- they really speak for themselves.

Here is a shot of the front of the guitar after buffing.  Note the reflection of the lamp.  Yes, you can read the printing on the bulb.

It is clear -- the water-based finish never approached this level of shine and depth.  Period.

Note the killer grain and spalt of this alder.

Here is a photo of the back after buffing and painting the cavity with conductive paint.  It really looks fantastic.

Here is a photo of the front of the body using the camera's flash.

Note how pronounced the grain and spalt is in the alder.

We also used conductive paint to shield the pickup cavities.  This is more for aesthetic reason than for shielding!

Here is a photo of the back of the body using the camera's flash.

Again, note how pronounced the grain and spalt is in the alder.

We used conductive paint to shield the control cavity.  The underside of the back plate is shielded with copper tape.  Yes, it makes a difference.

We included this photo because it is really cool.  Click on it to see it full sized.

This shows how incredibly shiny and reflective the nitro lacquer is on the guitar.
